The Listers are still available to the public and property owners. Please call or email, and we will get back to you to discuss your concerns, answer questions.
The Listers’ offices are open Monday through Thursday 9 am to 12 pm on the 3rd floor of Town Hall.
The Listers are elected to assess property in the town, and to set the Grand List, on which property taxes are based. Property records are public information.
Property is re-assessed when there are changes to buildings, acreage, or use. The value is set as of April 1 each year. The Listers are responsible for equitable assessment of comparable properties throughout the town. If an owner feels that the value assessed is inappropriate, they have the right to appeal on grievance day.
