he Town of Rockingham, Vermont is seeking a reliable and community-minded individual to join our team as a Part-Time Transfer Station Attendant. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors, staying active, and interacting with the public in a meaningful way.
This is a part-time position (up to 18 hours/week) with set operating hours between 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday (mandatory)
As the face of our Transfer Station, you’ll play an important role in keeping our community clean and running efficiently. Responsibilities include:
Operating garbage and recycling compactors
Assisting residents and visitors with disposal and recycling
Maintaining organized, clean, and safe work areas
Managing dumpsters and collection areas
Providing friendly, professional customer service
What We’re Looking For
Dependable and self-motivated individuals
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
Availability to consistently work Saturdays (required)
Compensation:- Hourly Rate: $15.00 - $16.00 commensurate with experience.
This position reports to the Transfer Station Supervisor and offers a steady, predictable schedule—ideal for those seeking supplemental income or a consistent part-time role with community impact.

The Bellows Falls Opera House is looking for friendly, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our team as part-time Shift Leaders. If you enjoy working with people, being part of live events, and helping create a welcoming community space, we’d love to hear from you! Responsibilities include operating the projector and sound system, assisting customers and staff, overseeing daily operations, and handling ticket and concession sales. You’ll also help close out the evening by shutting down equipment, preparing deposits, and securing the building.
What we’re looking for:
Strong customer service and communication skills
A dependable and positive attitude
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and occasional daytime shifts
Comfort handling a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment
Pay Range: $15.00 – 16.00/hour, commensurate with experience.
